When purchasing conductive silver paste, many people do not know how to distinguish its quality. Today, we will introduce the methods to distinguish the quality of conductive silver paste. Let's take a look together.
1. Capacity determination method
To determine the solvent composition in conductive silver paste by odor, in order to analyze its compatibility with paint. Generally speaking, aromatic hydrocarbons and lipid solvents are more suitable for conductive silver paste and will not damage the characteristics of the conductive silver paste.
2. Cup dissolution observation method
This method mainly observes the dispersion and purity of conductive silver paste. Put a certain amount of conductive silver paste 10-15 grams into a glass cup, add a certain amount of solvent (toluene or xylene), soak for 2 hours, gently shake the cup to allow the conductive silver paste to completely infiltrate and disperse in the solvent, tilt the cup to observe the bottom of the cup, and if the bottom is completely covered with conductive silver paste without blank scratches, it is normal. If there are blank scratches at the bottom of the inner wall, it indicates that the conductive silver paste product contains large impurities or conductive scales with severe bending, and even undissolved clumps of particles. If the clumps cannot dissolve after soaking for more than 10 hours, it indicates that the product has dried and cannot be used normally. Use a fine sieve to filter out the clumps before use. Floating conductive silver paste should also be observed to determine the magnitude of its floating value.
3. Spray comparison method
Take an appropriate amount of conductive silver paste, mix and disperse it evenly with the carrier, and spray it on the same substrate as the sample. After the coating is completely dry, compare it with the sample to observe whether the particle size, color, brightness, metallic texture, and surface smoothness of the spray plate and sample are consistent with those of the sample. Use a spectrophotometer to measure the difference in L, A, and B values. Determine whether the coating effect of the conductive silver paste product is consistent with the sample.
